WILLISTON — Starting Oct. 1, the Williston Fire Department will change how it responds to certain incidents to maintain efficient service amid rising call volumes.

Assistant Chief Corey Johnson said last year's call volume increased about 6 percent, with some years seeing a 20 percent jump.
