FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Three people, including two juveniles, were injured in a crash Monday morning in Fayetteville.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Black & Decker Road and Vardeman Ave.

According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the driver was speeding east on Black & Decker Road when the car became airborne at the Legion Road intersection. After landing, the vehicle lost control, veered off the road at Hennardland Place, struck a curb, and traveled down an embankment. It then hit a chain-link fence, overturned, and struck a gazebo before coming to a stop.

The driver was trapped inside the car but was eventually freed and transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
