CLEVELAND — Gas prices have seen an increase in Cleveland , rising back above the $3 mark.

New data released by GasBuddy on Monday shows Cleveland’s average is now $3.06 per gallon after an increase of 14.2 cents in the last week. Prices are 11.7 cents lower than a month ago and 3.5 cents lower than this time last year.

Drivers in Akron also have seen a surge in prices, with the city’s average at $2.99 after rising 23 cents in the last week.

Across the country, the national average has gone up 2.2 cents in the last week to $3.14. That’s unchanged from a month ago and 1.8 cents lower than a year ago.

Diesel prices are averaging $3.66 nationally after a 0.7-cent increase in the last week.
