TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The City of Tuscaloosa recently recognized dozens of employees, celebrating what they do and how long they’ve been doing it.

Tuscaloosa city leaders hosted the fourth annual Excellence Awards at the Tuscaloosa River Market.

More than 80 people were invited to a luncheon and walked away with a plaque, too.

Most honorees were honored for their many years of service, with Mayor Walt Maddox singling out the people who have worked for the city for 25, 30 and 35 years.

Others were also recognized by their coworkers and/or supervisors for performing their job with excellence.
