BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor will host its first-ever Bangor United Multicultural Fair on Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The free event will feature food, music, dance, panel discussions, face painting, raffles, and activities for all ages. Organizers say it’s a way to showcase the traditions of many different countries and cultures represented in the community.

We spoke with Biguita Hernandez, the City of Bangor’s Economic Development Officer, and Francisca Smith, who is organizing the fair.

Smith says the goal is to celebrate diversity while building stronger connections among neighbors.

The event will take place at the Bangor Public Library. It is free and open to the public. For more information, head to this link .
