HATTIESBURG — Hattiesburg police arrested a suspect Friday afternoon after a disturbance led to a shooting on North 10th Avenue, authorities said.
Officers responded around 3:40 p.m. to the 200 block of North 10th Avenue and learned that a dispute between two individuals ended when one person fired a shot, police said in a news release.
The victim was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and police said there is no threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
