DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A new report is shedding light on the final moments before a small plane crashed near Denver earlier this month , killing the two people on board.
The preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), obtained by 11 News sister station CBS Denver, states the cause of the crash appears to have been the engine going out mid-flight.
On the morning of Sept. 5, a Beech P35 aircraft took off from the Centennial Airport. According to NTSB’s report, two pilots were on board, with one getting training from the other because he wanted to buy a similar plane.
