IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - One person was killed over the weekend after falling while climbing west of Denver.
Idaho Springs police, Clear Creek County deputies and other emergency crews responded to the 400 block of Highway 103 Saturday afternoon for a climbing accident.
“A patient has suffered life-threatening injuries from a fall while climbing on private property. Agencies are conducting a high-angle operation to bring the patient off the mountainside,” Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office said.
A Flight for Life helicopter was also dispatched.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office updated Saturday evening that the victim had died.
