A drier morning to a soggy afternoon for autumn’s start

We’ve only seen a few isolated showers to start our work week, but rain chances will increase from west to east throughout the afternoon. Even if you’re dry to start, you’ll want to grab the rain gear as you’ll very likely be wet later on today. We’ll see widespread showers and some thunderstorms by the afternoon through the evening. It’s also the official start of fall as today is the autumnal equinox, meaning we’ll see an equal amount of day and night.
