Some of Costco's Fresh Ahi Wasabi Poke is being recalled for potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination of the green onions in the product.
In a Sept. 19 release , the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said that Western United Fish Company, which does business as Annasea Foods Group of Kent, Washington, is recalling 3,315 lbs. of Kirkland Signature brand Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold in the deli section of Costco stores on Sept. 18 in 33 states, including Florida.
"Please stop using the product and dispose of it immediately," Julie Lenseigne, Food Safety & QA Manager ofWestern United Fish Company said in a Costco alert to customers.
"Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with
