HAZARD, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Hazard man was arrested after officials said he tried to meet up with an underage girl over the weekend in Habaco.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office said it received a call from Kentucky Predo Pursuit regarding Ross Hurt, 35, on Sept. 17. The organization claimed Hurt was having inappropriate conversations with a decoy account posing as a 14-year-old girl.

Deputies said that Hurt sent sexually explicit images and videos to the account and asked for inappropriate pictures as well.

On Sept. 20, the sheriff's office said Hurt tried to meet up with the girl in the Habaco community of Hazard. Instead, he met up with deputies who arrested him on site.
