On June 25th, 2025, the Utah Mammoth made a stunning move, in order to help bolster their up-and-coming roster. They traded Michael Kesselring and Josh Doan to the Buffalo Sabres for forward JJ Peterka. Peterka had previously been the subject of many trade rumours, which became reality once the deal was announced. Moreover, the Mammoth are looking to establish themselves in the NHL this season.
