COLUMBUS, Ga. — A gunman died Monday morning after police in Columbus, Georgia said they responded to an "active shooter" situation.
The Columbus Police Department said on X that its officers responded to the 5800 block of Osceola Ct., where an Amazon facility is located.
"The suspected gunman is deceased," Columbus PD said on X. "Violent Crimes Unit is on scene gathering more information."
11Alive is working to learn more information about the incident. Columbus Police did not post additional details about what occurred.
It was unclear if there were any victims shot at the facility. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation told 11Alive is has not been requested to assist in the investigation at this time.
