MACON, Ga. — Some drivers in west Macon may have had to take an alternate route to work Monday morning after a tree blocked a major road, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said they got calls about a fallen tree on Log Cabin Drive at around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.

They said that they are redirecting traffic using Hillary Place, Briarwood Drive and then back onto Log Cabin Drive.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, they say the road was officially reopened at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

The sheriff's office said that crews are working to remove the tree from the roadway. They also said that no one was hurt.
