DOVER, Ky. (WXIX) - The manhunt for an attempted murder suspect who escaped from a jail in southern Ohio and fled over the Ohio River into northern Kentucky is in its second week.
The FBI is now invovled and announced a $10,000 reward Monday for information leading to the arrest of Brown County Jail inmate Jerry Lee Cooper.
At last check, Cooper, 48, was “contained in a large wooded area in between Tuckahoe Road and Lee’s Creek Road, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
He “should be considered armed and dangerous,“ the FBI says.
Cooper is armed with a rifle and “presents a major threat to law enforcement,” according to the sheriff’s office.
