The Marion Natural History Museum will host an after-school program on monarch migrations. The event is scheduled for 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the museum, 8 Spring St., Marion, according to a community announcement.
Participants will learn about the migration patterns of monarch butterflies, including their journey to Mexico for the winter. The program also includes a creative activity where attendees can make a symbolic monarch postcard to send to students in Mexico. These students will watch over the butterflies during the winter and return the postcards when spring migration begins.
