Two people were arrested at the candlelight vigil for Charlie Kirk in Boston on Thursday, police said.

The event held in remembrance of Kirk, the conservative activist who was fatally shot on a Utah college campus , drew a crowd of about 1,000 people who gathered on Boston Common and then marched to the State House.

The first arrest occurred after police officers saw an individual, later identified as Joseph Castrodelrio, 38, using a microphone and speaker to amplify his voice and make “loud proclamations against” people gathered for the vigil, according to a police report.
