Pittsburgh-based UPMC is negotiating with Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health to acquire three Ohio hospitals, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Sept. 22. The deal would also include two urgent care centers and a behavioral health and physician office building, according to the report, citing three people familiar with the plans who were unauthorized to speak publicly.
Under the potential deal, UPMC would acquire Trinity Center West, a 200-bed acute care hospital in Steubenville, Ohio that recently underwent a $75 million renovation and expansion, according to the report.
