WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police are investigating a Sunday double shooting that left two people injured in Northeast.

Officers responded to the reported shooting in the 1800 block of Benning Road, Northeast, shortly after 9:15 p.m. At the scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Medics took both men, who were conscious and breathing, to the hospital for treatment. At this time, the severity of their injuries remains unclear.

Investigators were looking for four men in connection with the shooting. Two of the men were seen wearing all black, while the other two were spotted wearing dark tops and light pants, MPD noted.
