Agartala, 22 nd September 2025: In a troubling development from Kamalasagar constituency, residents and local traders have expressed deep frustration over the repeated collapse of newly constructed roadside drain walls, citing extremely poor construction quality. The incident occurred along the stretch from Madhupur Hospital Chowmuhani to Madhupur School Chowmuhani, adjacent to the residence of the local MLA.

According to reports, the drain wall collapsed twice within a week each time following light rainfall. While the public tolerated the first collapse, the second incident triggered widespread anger. On Monday morning, pedestrians and market vendors halted all ongoing drain construction work, demanding accountability and higher standards.
