GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) — A fire at a Glasgow business Saturday evening caused no injuries, according to the Glasgow Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to 205 American Ave. after a fire alarm was activated. Property records show 3A Composites operates at the location.
Employees met crews at the scene and said a grinder had caught fire. Attempts to put out the blaze with on-site extinguishers were unsuccessful.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire using water, routing a hose through an entrance to the factory. Crews also checked the roof for fire spread and opened the pipe connected to the grinder.
Officials confirmed the fire did not extend beyond the grinder and cooled it using ventilation and water. Ground and on-site fans were used to remove residual smoke from the factory
