ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident at a high school football game Friday night.
A man was charged with disorderly contact and public intoxication after being seen acting drunk and disorderly at the game, according to the Sheriff.
The suspect, Ricky Jordan, told WDBJ7 over the weekend he is a fixture at Alleghany High School games, where he acts as a cheerleader of sorts. He says at Friday night’s game, he was trying to pump up the crowd when other people at the game complained they couldn’t see the game. He moved a couple times and cursed at the crowd, leading Sheriff Kyle Moore, who was already at the game, to approach, with other deputies, and escort him away.
