On Tuesday, Local 3 will team up with the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to give away free weather radios and batteries.

The event is a statewide effort, called Tune It Tuesday, to help residents better prepare for weather emergencies.

You can get a radio and batteries while supplies last from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday at the Lowe's on Gunbarrel Road.

Local 3 Chief Meteorologist David Karnes will be there with Local 3's Thunder if you want to stop by and get your weather radio programmed.
