Heavy traffic remains on Interstate 75 north on Monday after two crashes involving several vehicles.
The first happened shortly after 11:00am, just south of the East Brainerd Road exit.
Chattanooga police say four vehicles were involved and four people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No names have been released.
TDOT reports that three of the four northbound lanes are blocked at mile marker 2.6 along with both the right and left shoulders.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
The second crash happened just north of the East Ridge exit around 11:20am.
TDOT shows the crash has been cleared but traffic remains at a standstill as a result of both incidents.
