OLD FORT, Ohio — A man was killed and three others were injured, including two children, in a head-on crash Monday morning in Seneca County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 7:15 a.m. on Township Road 73, just north of the village of Old Fort.

Investigators say Mikayla D. Steyer, 18, of Old Fort, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger southbound when she went off the left side of the road. As she attempted to re-enter the roadway, her pickup struck a northbound 2006 Ford Escort head-on.

The driver of the Escort, 37-year-old Jeromy T. Danielski of Old Fort, died at the scene. Two young children in Danielski’s vehicle were seriously injured and flown by Life Flight to Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
