HOLLAND, Ohio — Holloway Elementary School in Springfield Township was placed on a lockdown Tuesday after the district said a hoax call was made by a male, third-grade student.
According to the district, the student called 911 around 12:15 p.m. from his cell phone, stating someone had a gun. The district said the school responded immediately and went under lockdown, which is now over.
The district said all classrooms were checked and bags were searched for a possible gun. According to the district, the building was secured, and "full lockdown" lasted about 30 minutes. No weapon was found and there is no threat, Superintendent Matt Geha said at a press conference.
