AKRON, Ohio — A 32-year-old woman was injured after what Akron police described as a road-rage shooting encounter on South Hawkins Avenue Saturday afternoon.
At around 3:59 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Moreley Avenue, where the victim and her husband had driven after the shooting. The woman had been struck once in the shoulder and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Investigators said the couple told officers they were traveling southbound on South Hawkins in separate vehicles when they encountered a woman in a gray Mercedes-Benz driving recklessly.
