MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Morristown Hamblen Humane Society is continuing to handle a massive influx of animals from a hoarder situation, according to social media posts from the group. The shelter has been working to place more than 180 animals that were recently removed from a home.

It started Sept. 19, when the humane society put out the call for help.

“We are desperate for supplies. We are in need; we are looking at getting in 100 dogs. We are looking at getting rabbits, quail and one cat,” a video posted to the humane society’s Facebook page said.

Since then, the shelter as seen an influx of donations, volunteers and fosters, but the work is far from over.
