KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - One person was seriously injured in a crash on Monday in South Knox County.
According to Rural Metro Fire, the crash happened in the 7900 block of Martin Mill Pike when the car crashed into a guard rail and down an embankment into a creek.
One person was thrown from the car and seriously injured. Rural Metro said crews used a low-angle rope hauling system to get the injured person out of the creek and to an ambulance. Their condition is unknown.
“Please be careful and follow the law and wear your seatbelt,” Rural Metro said.
Additional information, including if there was anyone else in the car at the time of the crash, was not released.
