TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce (BBMC) is hosting its 6th annual golf tournament for a cause.
The tournament will take place at Southwood Golf Club on October 3 at 9:00 a.m.
The tournament serves as a fundraiser for Leon County Title I schools, which serve students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Over the past five years, the tournament has raised around $250,000 to support classrooms and student programs.
Funds from the event have been used to provide school supplies to students and teachers, sponsor after-school STEM and literacy programs and buy technology and digital resources for schools.
The BBMC is proud to announce the title sponsors of this year’s event: MGT Consulting and the Thompson Family.
