FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Detectives in Fairfax County are asking for the public's help in identifying suspects in connection with a homicide investigation from five years ago.

The murder happened on Sept. 21, 2020, in Lorton.

Minutes before 9:30 p.m., Fairfax County police officers were dispatched to the 9800 block of Hagel Circle, where they found Leonard Brown, 37, of Alexandria, lying on the ground.

Police noted that Brown had been shot in his upper body. He died in the hospital.

A second man was also located at the scene. He was hospitalized with serious injuries and was later released.
