CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte organization that helps domestic violence victims and survivors has a new tool to help their clients through their healing journey.

Bubba is a two and a half year old Labrador. He’s working at Safe Alliance to help survivors and victims of domestic violence.

Bubba is perfecting some of his commands as he heads in for appointments with clients at the Safe Alliance Survivor Resource Center .

Sherrie Bourg-Carter, Bubba’s handler, says this opportunity was one she couldn’t pass up.

“This kind of opportunity could change people’s lives and make them see the legal system as less intimidating and less frightening if they had a dog by their side when they were trying to move through it,” she said.
