ST. JOSEPH, Mo - The resurfacing project for a portion of Interstate 229 in St. Joseph will begin Thursday, October 2nd.

Crews will complete an asphalt overlay on I-229 between Missouri Route 371 and I-29. The ramps for this section will also be resurfaced. During construction, the road will be narrowed to one lane. A 12-foot width restriction will also be in place.

Motorists are advised to expect delays. Work will be performed Monday through Saturday during daylight hours. The resurfacing project is expected to be finished by November.
