New York City mayor candidate Zohran Mamdani is pulling out of a televised town hall with WABC News on Sept. 25 due to ABC ‘s suspension of “ Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Last week, the network kowtowed to threats from Donald Trump’s Federal Communications Commission and suspended “Jimmy Kimmel Live” indefinitely following the host’s remarks about the murder of Charlie Kirk. The move was met with swift backlash from Hollywood figures , Democratic leaders and even some conservative politicians like Ted Cruz . Protests against ABC parent company Disney broke out in New York and Los Angeles.
