BRUNSWICK, Ohio — The Medina County Coroner has determined the cause of death of the man who died following a reported disturbance at a BP station in Brunswick last week , leading to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation being called in for assistance.

According to Dr. Lisa Deranek, the cause of death has been ruled as cardiac arrest and an autopsy is pending. The man's identification has not yet been released and it is not immediately clear what caused the cardiac arrest.

The BCI was called in to assist with what officials termed as an "officer-involved critical incident" at the BP gas station on Pearl Road took place on Thursday evening.
