GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Greene County Sheriff's Department (GCSD) investigated a TikTok post that was initially perceived as a threat to North Greene High School.

The GCSD stated in a news release that the principal at North Greene received an email from a concerned citizen on Sunday night about an apparent threat to the school posted to TikTok. The principal contacted the GCDS and school resource officers, and an agent with the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security was immediately notified.

A joint investigation began, and investigators were able to contact the student who had posted the threat in a matter of hours.
