ABBEVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

The South Carolina Attorney General's office announced an Abbeville man was arrested on two charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.

According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, Timothy Corey Griffin, 37, was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and investigators with the Abbeville Police Department.

Investigators have accused Griffin of soliciting and traveling to meet a person he believed to be a minor for sex.

The attorney general's office said Griffin is charged with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

The case will be prosecuted by the attorney general's office.
