CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The United Way of Harrison & Doddridge Counties has received a large grant from the First Energy Foundation to combat hunger.

According to a press release from the United Way, $25,000 has been given to the organization in recognition of Hunger Action Month. The money will go directly to the United Way's partners that are on the front lines of dealing with food insecurities, including programs like Senior Meals on Wheels, the Warming Shelter, the Resilience Collaborative and the Gabriel Project.
