GRANBY, Mass. (WWLP) - Steve and Tammy Sapowsky have announced their retirement and the closure of the Sapowsky Farms stand in early October, marking the end of an era for the family-run farm established in 1947.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the Sapowsky Farms stand will have its last official day on September 28, after which it will remain open on a day-by-day basis until all produce is sold out. The farm, known for its corn, tomatoes, and peppers, has been a staple in the community for decades.

"Feeding a community is an awesome responsibility and we took that responsibility very seriously," said Tammy Sapowsky, expressing gratitude to their customers and employees.
