Chase Wutzke could be the goalie of the future for the Minnesota Wild.
The 19-year-old netminder inked a three-year entry level deal with the Wild on Monday, after a strong showing in the club's rookie showcase earlier this month.
"Words can't describe how grateful I am to sign my first ELC with the Minnesota Wild. I'd like to thank my coaches, friends, family and everyone who believe it was possible," Wutzke said in a post on Instagram Monday morning.
The Rebels goalie posted a 17-25-5 record with a 3.38 goals-against average (GAA), a .895 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout in 50 games during the 2024-25 season, ranking fifth in the WHL with 1,371 saves.
The 6-foot-2, 161-pound native of Debden, Saskatchewan, owns a 40-35-10 record with a 3.21 GAA, a .896 SV%, and two shutouts in 9
