The ACLU, along with more than 400 artists, journalists and creatives, issued an open letter condemning what they describe as government threats that forced Disney and ABC to suspend Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Some of the signatories include Jennifer Aniston, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks , Olivia Rodrigo, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Regina King, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Natalie Portman, Kerry Washington, along with America Ferrera, Riz Ahmed, Donald Glover, Mark Ruffalo, Sarah Silverman, John Legend, Sandra Oh, Keegan-Michael Key and Kumail Nanjiani.
