COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Shots were fired early Monday morning at an Amazon warehouse in East Columbus, which has resulted in the alleged shooter taking his own life, police say.

About 4:30 a.m., a 9-1-1 active shooter call came into the Columbus center. The shooter was outside the warehouse, shooting at the building. Columbus Police responded and found the man they suspected to be the gunman still outside the building. Columbus police confronted him and he took his own life.

There were workers inside the warehouse when the shots were fired at the building. No one was injured, according to police.

The case is under investigation.
