After multiple water main breaks on Lemay Avenue earlier this year , Fort Collins Utilities is getting to work on design of a future project to replace the infrastructure.
Partial closures are planned from Sept. 24 to Oct. 10 so crews can confirm the locations of underground utilities through "potholing" activities, a news release from Utilities said.
The project will take place on Lemay between Horsetooth and Harmony roads. The potholing work will begin at Ticonderoga Drive and move southward.
Work hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. The completion of the work by Oct. 10 is weather dependent.
There were multiple water main breaks on this section of Lemay Avenue in April and again in June and August of this year, leading to road closures.
