A major highway in northern Delaware was shut down for hours Monday morning after a truck carrying cement lost control and flipped onto its side, according to state police.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 as the cement truck was driving northbound on Interstate 495 in New Castle, police said.

While the truck was getting close to Route 13 (Dupont Boulevard), the driver lost control before hitting a guardrail which led to the vehicle overturning, officials explained.
The driver, identified as a 52-year-old man from Bear, Delaware, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
