DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Kim Reynolds announced the resignation of Kelly Garcia, Director of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, effective next month. Garcia, who served nearly six years, will be succeeded by Larry Johnson, the current Director of the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL). Gov. Reynolds praised Garcia's leadership, noting her impact on child care opportunities and rural health care access. "Her contributions will make a difference for years to come," Reynolds said.
