TRAVERSE CITY — Michigan State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly committed more than $12,000 in bank fraud through three transactions at two banks.=
According to a Sept. 22 post on X, MSP said last week the suspect withdrew cash from a line of credit account that was not his, using a fake military ID at State Savings Bank in Beulah and on Front Street in Traverse City
Troopers said the man appeared well practiced in using the alias, correctly reciting the first five digits of the victim’s Social Security number, the last four digits of the account number and the date of birth from memory when asked by tellers.
Anyone with information about his identity is asked to contact the Michigan State Police Traverse City Post at 231-938-0714.
