In 2015, Culver's founded National Cheese Curd Day, and to celebrate the 10th anniversary, the company is bringing back a customer favorite and introducing a new menu item.

This year, the Wisconsin-based, fast-food burger chain is celebrating cheese curds and all things Midwest with its first annual monthlong Curdtoberfest. The celebration involves new food, Curdtoberfest-themed restaurants and an online sweepstakes for the chance to win prizes like free cheese curds for a year.

"Curdtoberfest is our way of saying, 'Let's celebrate cheese curds!' by taking the spirit of Oktoberfest and adding our own Culver's twist on the tradition," said Culver's VP of marketing, Emily Patterson, in a news release.
