A Kasilof man was arrested earlier this month after Soldotna Police say he was caught trying to break into a residence while the homeowner watched through a security camera.

According to court documents, officers responded to a call on September 4 around 3:20 p.m. after a caller reported that an unknown male was in the backyard of a Geranium Street home attempting to get inside. The homeowner was out of state, but told police he saw the man on his security system trying both the front and back doors.

An affidavit submitted to the court by SPD Officer Gordon and Sgt. Clary states that responding officers identified the suspect as 50-year-old David Walsh of Kasilof. Police say Walsh was found inside the fenced backyard, where pry marks were later discovered on the back door. Investigators
