EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - The East Longmeadow Fire Department is auctioning off a 1994 fire truck, with proceeds benefiting equipment needs.

The auction, which is open to the public, is being conducted online at municibid.com and will conclude this Thursday. The funds raised will be used to purchase essential firefighting equipment, such as new hoses and fire suits.

The yellow 1994 HME Pumper fire truck has served the department for many years, initially as the first due engine before becoming a spare. With 42,640 miles on the odometer, the truck features a 50-gallon water tank and a 40-gallon foam tank, making it suitable for various uses beyond firefighting, such as in construction or landscaping.
