SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The crackdown on illegal off-roading vehicles continues, as Springfield police seized two all-terrain vehicles on Saturday afternoon.
Throughout the day on Saturday, officers patrolled parks and followed up with suspected riding activities on city streets.
Just before 2 p.m., officers saw a blue four-wheeler being illegally driven in the Woodmont Street area. The rider was not wearing a helmet and received a criminal complaint to court.
Just an hour later, a young woman was driving a red four-wheeler on Hancock Street, also not wearing a helmet. She also received a criminal complaint, and both quads were seized.
